For businesses

Everything your business can do with VeriGiving

One page lets a family's whole community pay your invoice together, directly into your own account. Offer it with a QR code, in the emails you already send, on your own website, or straight from your software.

How it works

Three steps, and nothing changes about how you serve families

  1. 1

    A page is started

For one family and one invoice, by you at the arrangement meeting or by the family at home. About five minutes.

  2. 2

    The family shares one link

Relatives, friends, and community contribute by card in under a minute. No account, no fee, no tip.

  3. 3

    You are paid directly

Every contribution settles into your own payment account. Collection stops at the invoice total.

What it does for you

The receivable gets paid, and you never have to ask twice

Days

not months

Invoices that would have gone on a plan, been discounted, or been written off are paid while the family's community is still asking how to help.

$127.50

on an $8,500 invoice

A flat 1.5 percent, only on what is actually paid. Free to join, free to be listed, free for families.

0

collections calls

The page does the asking, kindly, on the family's behalf. You confirm the invoice and watch it settle.

1

official page

A page can only exist for a verified business, so families and newspapers can be told plainly which link is real.

1At your location

A QR code families scan to begin

Your kit includes your own QR code and a print ready counter card the day you go live. A family scans it with a phone camera and starts a page for their invoice in about five minutes.

  • On the desk in the arrangement room, at the front counter, or in a service folder.
  • On your website, with one line of HTML from your kit.
  • Printed on the estimate or the invoice, under the total.

2In the emails you already send

One paragraph, or one page attached

When a family enquires, add one paragraph under your usual reply or attach the family package: a single page in your name that explains sharing the cost, with your QR code. The words are written for you.

  • A reply to an enquiry, an email to a client, a line for your invoices, and one for your signature.
  • The family package as a link, or as a PDF to attach or print.
  • When you start the page yourself, the family receives the link automatically.

Subject: Re: Arrangements for my father

Dear Priya, we are so sorry for your loss. I have attached our price list, and we can meet tomorrow at ten.

Some families like to share the cost with relatives and friends. We work with VeriGiving, where people contribute by card and every dollar is paid directly to us, stopping at the invoice amount. Here is how it works

Warm regards,
Margaret Bellwood

3On your own website

Your domain, your brand, our infrastructure

Connect an address such as giving.yourbusiness.ca and the whole experience lives under your name, with your logo and colours. Families never leave your website. VeriGiving runs the pages, payments, receipts, verification, and compliance behind it.

  • Two DNS records, set up from your dashboard. The certificate is automatic.
  • Your logo, your colours, your welcome message on every page.
  • Powered by VeriGiving stays in the corner, where it belongs.

4From your own software

An API for the systems you already run

Start a page the moment a file is opened in your case management system, show live totals on your own screens, revise an invoice, or close a page, all without opening VeriGiving.

  • One request starts a page and returns the link and a QR code.
  • Keys are created in your dashboard, shown once, and revocable at any time.
  • Retried requests never create a second page or a second email to the family.

However you offer it, four things stay true

Paid to you, never to a person

There is no way to route a contribution anywhere but your own account.

Stops at the invoice

The last contribution can only be as large as what remains.

Nothing extra for contributors

No fees, no tips, no account to create.

Private unless the family says otherwise

Pages are shared by link. Public listing is a choice.

Ready when the next family asks how they can help

Registering takes five minutes. We verify every business by hand within 24 to 48 hours, and nothing goes live until you connect your own payment account.
